Why is it you’re all still kissing Lussicks and Hastings a r s e s but ripping into Watto at every opportunity ? Watto was the best coach we’ve had for years . There would have been no Grand Final or Wembley appearances without him .

Well I would put it down to how each of the men you mention left.
Watson`s departure was a kick in the teeth and he behaved like a wolf in sheeps clothing whereas the two players were quite open about their departure.

I think it is to do with the way he left and touted our players before leaving. Turning down the Hull job because he wanted to stay and finish the job before the big bucks came his way (can’t blame him for that though).

All three were a kick in the teeth,certainly,but players and coaches come and go so everyone understands that.
Everybody also understands that humans follow the money and there’s certainly no disgrace in that.
Hastings and Lussick,like Evalds Dudson and others,went with our best wishes for giving their all whilst playing for us.
Watson is the best coach in my lifetime apart from,probably,Cliff Evans.
He had every right to double his money,allegedly.
He could have gone with the same regard as those players did.
It’s been suggested on here that he tapped players up before the club knew he was going, and one of them blew the whistle. I’ve no idea whether that was the case but,subsequently,he’s destabilised the club.
That’s the difference. It’s not what you do in life that’s important,it’s how you do it. Takes ages to build a great reputation and just a few daft moments to destroy it.

All coaches take players with them to their new clubs . Let’s hope he eventually takes Tui with him too , will do us a favour there .

Tasi, to me it's the way he did it, after assuring everybody that he was staying.
Nobody will know why he left, it might just be money, or pure ambition, he might have been let down by the Club, over funding for players, broken promises, lack of ambition, there are many possibilities and we'll probably never know
BUT compare the way Powell has gone compared to Watson. Yes Powells taking players with him, but at the end of the season and he's helping the club buibld for next season. That's what rankles me; got a squad together then left. Of course he might have reached the end of his tether with the Club.
