Well, we can all see it. Clueless in attack, slack in defence, open to penalties, lack of ideas..... the list goes on. But, I have to suggest that we do not have a single dynamic / ball playing forward to push us onto the front foot. I admire all the lads for all their hard work, but to sum it all up,none of them really look like rugby players, just athletes. Very very poor, and I can't see a way forward at all. Miserable times

It looks to me that the players do not want to play for RM. There is something seriously wrong.

Can’t disagree with anything said, it is very worrying. I know we are missing a few players but the total lack of organisation in defence is absolutely shocking, as was shown by John Wells at half time. And as for the tackling, well...ffs.
I think Marshall deserves more time but we seriously need to concentrate on not getting relegated because anything above bottom will be a result. I don’t think Marshall wants half of these players and I don’t think most of them want to play for him. We need to just avoid the drop and hope Marshall can get his own signings in to the standard he wants.

Don't buy it - Marshall took this job knowing what he had to work with and made a couple of additions, he has changed the team countless times and still does not know his best 17? How 6-7 months in. Most people starting a new job have 6 months to convince the employer that they are fit for the role - probation period. Marshall is out of his depth, yes the players are massively at fault tonight but its clear the Manager is not inspiring or pushing them to be better. King and Blease need to set a tone from the top, we are a professional sports club with pride, time for the bullshit excuses to stop and take action.

My fear is that our Community Club, overall seems rudderless. When John Wilky or even Marwan was here we at least had leadership and you felt involvement with the Club. Now we keep hearing headline reports of linking with Welsh Foundation, Rowley's new role, purchase of the ground, looking for a benefactor etc but then nothing, we seem to be drifting, and sadly at the moment into obscurity. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but it seeme to be 'direction unknown' as the 80 year old Dylan would say.

The answer,my friend,is blowing in the wind. Someone needs to look for the tambourine man before the times can be changing.
As regards the drift, part of this would be helped if more information were forthcoming generally. If players are injured, rather than our assuming they’ve been dropped.then let us know. Has Inu left the club ?
In truth, the hierarchy have handled the difficult but very well, the finances.
The easier bit ,and the most enjoyable, was riding the crest of Watson’s wave.
Ongoing and decisive management is a tough gig but crucial to prevent the drift.
Will it be all over now, baby blue or he ain’t going nowhere
I’ll get my coat

The club are doing a lot of things right, but also need to do better in other areas. When the team does half decent we get more stuff from the club. More news articles, more media. When the club is struggling we seem to have a blackout on anything from the club. This is exactly the opposite of what is required. When times are tough fans want more from their club not less. It promotes anxiety for fans and helps spread rumours and nonsense.
Leadership? I can't really comment on as only those that work behind the scenes will know if this is even a factor.
The big one for me is can RM turn all this around, and can he keep us in SL with these players?
I suppose the answer is he can, but the percentages on that are ticking down by the day. People are right to highlight that Watson had his turmoil at points but I'd reiterate the fact that when Watson had similar questions asked of him the team always had passion and effort, and certainly were never defensively as frail as this team is currently. Watson's team always looked like they could turn things around. Marshall's team looks very poor indeed in comparison. I don't know anything about Marshall's coaching philosophy, but I do know that whatever it is, it isn't working. Will two weeks off help? With injuries, yes. I'm just afraid that the two week lay-off will just entrench the obvious low morale and do nothing for our questionable match fitness across the board.
Hull KR, Hudds and Leeds in June. I can't see us winning at Hull KR or Huddersfield. Home to Leeds is our best chance of two points but our record against Leeds is awful. Gonna be a long season.

Thinking with us losing Kear and Inu (probably) are we likely to look at bringing in another back or do we have enough bodies in the squad to cope. Honestly think we are now short by 1 and definitely a hooker and maybe a half back as well. Not sure who would be available and achievable to bring in.

With the fight to sign George Williams for the rest of the season, there may be a bit of shifting of players to get him under the cap. Potentially a few decent players may be up for moving clubs. Not sure we're as desirable as yesteryear though...
