One of the best stand offs we've ever had, totally underrated. Played on one leg effectively. I saw him once after an away game really hobbling down a set of stairs and he said he was like that after most matches. He'd have been a long time Oz international if he'd have had two good knees.
Thurston's understudy for a good time, I think, deceptively quick and strong and I think the best time we had with him was just before Hastings came and he effectively was the sole half back guiding creating leading
