Carnster, left side defence is Kear, who’s a lovely ball player and gutsy but just too small, and Brown. They were targeting this and others will Here's a radical idea... Maybe play the International centre we have in the centre. Might not do any harm that, especially seeing as we have France's fullback to take his place.

Yes from what I've heard he's trying to improve skill levels and play a more expansive game with interchange of positions Agree Carnster let's play a simple field position game, improve the kicking, get people in their rightful positions, maintain our place in SL and then develop.
We need to build both the structure of the team and confidence. Yep Kear not quite there, Lanoon needs to calm down and Livett needs some aggression, so wide spots are a bit weak.

I think that he may be trying to recreate Saints which takes years and is an end game not the starting point.
I also think we miss Dudson far more than I'd have thought we would.

Lussick will be quality when he regains fitness, and will more than fill those shoes.

We are lauding Hull, but I think they will win as much as us.you can only comment on what you see,you can make allowanceses for new faces, but it seemed to me the way it went that they had all met at 11 45 for the first time.

We've been ultra competitive for the last 2 seasons, certainly beyond what any of us fans could have ever anticipated, especially with a team of "has beens & cast offs", and I hope Marshall can get them going. Yes, I know that we have played 2 very good teams by the look of it, but the lack of inventiness in attack and the error count is really worrying. I know the lads give their all, take it personally etc etc, but its been a very demoralising start and will take a huge effort to get this season flowing. And like the rest of you, I had quite high expectations :-(

Remember even the team that got to the cup final ( having side stepped Saints in the first round) lost 6 on the bounce last year, because,,,,,,we had a lot of new faces. And who scored the winning try against Wigan for the first win, ,,,,K Brown
Hang in guys, everyone's finding their feet.

I have already raised concerns re not choosing our "best" fullback amd playing our top centre out of position.Escare is not injured. I also picked up from commentary that he "outed" the two players left out from last week by saying g they were dropped because their performances weren't good enough.I do wonder whether this is too much out in the public.Do players react well to this? We are under scrutiny now and the coach has had an inauspicious start.

It’s not the fact we were beaten, Hull were not that good, it’s the fact we didn’t compete and never looked like competing, there are no excuses for that performance.

What are the positives out of that performance? The only positive I can ascertain from here is that it is over, behind us, done.
