Just been watching a bit of RL this afternoon and I'm now having to watch it with the sound off most of the time.
The Chuckle Brothers have got worse. Continually talk, keep repeating themselves but say nothing of any value. Even make Garry Neville sound interesting.
Have they gone worse or is it that we're getting them in large doses; whatever it's not good listening and it's becoming a joke.
They are both props and so won't be the best to talk about tactics or the intricacies of play but they dont seem capable of talking about what's happening on the field.. The Oz commentators are knowledgable, interesting and generally add to the experience. Was really looking forward to watching SL on tv, but this really awful...in my view.

Grass roots rugby is so very important but McDermott banging on about it all the time is overdone.
Sure,give the feeder club credit,but don’t make it your only contribution.
Sky have gone for the pound shop option .

Totally agree, complete utter rubbish, None of the sky team would get a job on fox sports, not even as a tea boy.

Contrarian opinion: after watching Retro RL last week - Eddie and Stevo were not quite as bad as we all complained about at the time. At least they conveyed a genuine enthusiasm for the sport.
Still, not a patch on a Ray Warren type.

Contrarian opinion: after watching Retro RL last week - Eddie and Stevo were not quite as bad as we all complained about at the time. At least they conveyed a genuine enthusiasm for the sport. Still, not a patch on a Ray Warren type. Steve and Eddie were quality. |

Great game of rugby Wigan v Hull but the commentary, diabolical, a diatribe of bilge. BBC far far better.
And who never gives a Wigan offside...Child's, awful.
Watched the NRL this am, reffing brilliant, together with the commentary

Tonight’s commentary was shocking, but I have to disagree about the BBC’s commentators, Robbie Hunter-Paul is garbage and Jonathan Davies welsh accent gets right up my hooter, he repeats the same word “ Crewshall” that’s what it sounds like.

Agree re Hunter-Paul. Every time I listen to that clown it's like a wisdom tooth jabbing me to remind me it's there. As for Jiffy, although his accent can be somewhat annoying, he actually talks a lot of sense. |

Agree re Paul ( where did the Hunter come from anyway, did he get a house in Wilmslow) , gets paid for nothing.
The thing that's annoying about the Chuckle Brothers is that they never stop talking but they say nothing....mind you they were props. We need ex coaches ex captains, people who actually understand what's going on
Finally on Child's, he did the same with his reffing this week as he did with us against Leigh; punishing little spats, one which gave Wigan their winning 2 points and misses the offsides (final tackles last week Leigh were yards off and we were accused of poor last tackle options) even Sky picked it up at the last couple of ptb's where Hull weren't given a penalty and probably 2 Pts.
