To echo most people's comments, that was a really enjoyable Rugby League game after what seems like an eternity since our last outing.
Our attitude in defence was pleasing, and our kicking game was excellent in the conditions. In attack, we appear to be getting the ball out wide earlier, which will allow our centres more space to create opportunities. Our outside backs are, without a doubt, the strongest I have seen since supporting the club, so no doubt giving them early ball will be part of our strategy this season.
I thought Pauli Pauli was impressive and he looks in top shape compared to when he signed for the Club; he also seemed a lot more aggressive than usual yesterday. Tui looked well up it yesterday and he will no doubt put in the maximum effort this season with the World Cup at the end of the year. Addy and Well also impressed me, and they didn't look out of place at all despite Addy playing in the Championship last season, and Wells nearly finding himself there this season as well.

I think the 13 we seen on Sunday won't be too far away from the 17 for Saint's. Not many players I'd swap

Noticed v Wigan we have a lot more ball playing options in the forwards this year. Taylor, Livett, Addy even Burke has a pass (not playing) - Offloads from Pauli, Seb, Roberts. Maybe moving the ball more will be a theme under Marshall. The backs pick themselves but the forwards are difficult to pick, v Saints we need size with their pack.

Was very impressed with our kicking game at the weekend and the variety of kickers. Always felt this was the one draw back with wattos teams, which it looks like Marshall has identified and is keen to improve. We will definitely need it against saints
