I heard a season review somewhere and they used the Devilinthedetail section for their piece, and I looked at the reaction over the academy and under 19 decision. All of these and some other things I read brought me to the conclusion we are definitely the new Wigan or Manly. You know every league fan has two teams their own and the one playing Salford. To be honest I used to mind about this because at least those two clubs won loads of trophies to earn the right to be "that" club. But now looking at the attitudes and agendas that lead to 101 reasons why Salford should be relegated in favour of someone else I think it's time to pull up the drawbridge and say bugger the rest of RL. With this in mind, from now on, it's just SRD for me and the RL family  😆😆😆 can %$&&)+!!!!! off! (Please fill in as applicable!) By the way it took a lot for me to react in this way and a lot of thought before I posted this. Should have said it wasn't the devilinthedetail bit that was well balanced and considered it was the other people who used it for their piece that started me on this trail! |

If you use rlfans or Twitter to Base your opinions then yeh, but the majority of fans you meet in person (I find anyway) don't have the same opinions. Either way, personally I just find it amusing  sure the odd comment will wind me up but most just make me picture some chav from widnes or hard of learning person from cas frothing at the mouth bashing away on their phone, and how sad their life must be to make little salford so important. |

If you use rlfans or Twitter to Base your opinions then yeh, but the majority of fans you meet in person (I find anyway) don't have the same opinions. Either way, personally I just find it amusing sure the odd comment will wind me up but most just make me picture some chav from widnes or hard of learning person from cas frothing at the mouth bashing away on their phone, and how sad their life must be to make little salford so important. I used total RL as my yardstick and I don't have the same findings as you on this gadger. The only difference was there wasn't the usual MK bashing overload but there was yet more calls to be relegated and that makes: SC issues, their club's more important in SL, their club shouldn't have gone down SRD should, our attendance figures, MK himself of course and the dropping of the under 19's etc etc. People who had no opinion when it came to other clubs were calling for SRD to be hung,drawn and quartered. I assume the ones you've met are the exceptions or being nice and polite cos you're a Salford fan. It's not the odd comment it's a litany! (Is that the right word?) By the way I haven't turned into Roger Hargreaves Mr Angry or even Mr Fed up just feel we're better off talking about SRD and leaving the rest of RL to fester in their miserable treatment of each other. But maybe we can't even be united about SRD and if so I won't lose any sleep.  |

Nor me, have little enough sleep as it is! And forums would be a boring place if all we did was agree.
I think all teams get a degree of bashing on social media, Wigan, leeds, wire etc. Difference is that's usually because they are good as you mention, whereas with us it's started because of marwan. And maybe that's why salford fans take it to heart a little more.

I don't want to be accused of being in the past.Joking.But I think it is a generational and social media thing.Don't let this distort your view I don't think the majority are like that.It is the same in football and in life generally In days gone by you wanted your team to do well but you spoke to other people you took on board their view and they did the same.Russ don't judge the majority by the clowns what the clowns after realise at this time if their is know Salford Bradford Wakefield Leigh Hull KR or Castleford the rest have not got a game and them and the RFL have to realise that.I mentioned this social media.I spoke with Mrs Morley in the club on Friday night.All I will say is I heard nothing like I have read on any media or any forums. |

But I'm really glad about Moz, and satisfied that the rumour was rubbish. |
