Well decision day who is it to be?
No doubt the RL will want Bradford seeing as they've got the ground and now trying to make it commercially viable...and of course it's Bradford with their long history ( of financial failure)
Featherstone, a joke; how many SL teams in a 10 mile radius?
York and Leigh, why, no overriding reasons
Toulouse, good trip and competition for Catalan. My view is that effort should be made to create a French SL now not keep adding SL teams to chase Sky money
London, relegated on points difference and last team to be relegated. RL always wanted a team in the capital and it is kudos, certainly. Moving to a new super ground I think this year with Wimbledon.
So London it is for me, but I still think it's the poison chalice; less money, few players around, but possibly good for us in our year settling under a new regime.
Also the Championship looks to have a lot of really good teams next year, RL should really promote this...maybe live for the Beeb?

Leigh have the strongest squad on paper
London weakened by the usual clubs.
Toulouse because strong squad and a great place to visit.
Bradford not strong enough.
York and Fev both dark horses in this.
All have squads that, with the extra money, should start to compete.

Would prefer in order Toulouse London York
But am aware that if we were outside looking in, we’d be one of the unfashionable clubs being overlooked. I hope they maintain a clear promotion and relegation pathway for future clubs to join on playing merit as well. The resurgence in the strength of the championship is a direct consequence of promotion being reintroduced and it’s important for the game that any club can taste superleague if they win the league below. Not least because one day we might need that route too.

I personally would be surprised if it's anyone apart from Bradford because the RFL need to recoup some of the money they paid out for Odsal.
I know it's an "independent" tribunal making the decision but what Criteria and guidelines have been set out for them?
If we're looking at expansion then London and Toulouse should be favourites. York possibly could be included in that category
If it's history then Widnes, Bradford and Leigh
If it's the ability to compete next year then Maybe Featherstone and Leigh.
I personally would like London to be given another chance because the RFL have invested a lot into London and they have worked hard with the local amateur game in the area. It also falls into the expansion of the game.

Surprised at that, thought it might have been Bradford or London. I suppose in some respects Leigh are a safe bet (as long as Beaumont keeps putting money in). Toulouse, York and Fev are all unchartered territory, Bradford have a dodgy financial past (and do they still play in Dewsbury?!), and London have pretty poor levels of support.
I wanted York from a purely selfish perspective, would've been a decent trip away, especially compared to getting the V1 guided busway thing into Leyther territory. Plus we always seem to get beat at Leigh

A derby of sorts, so happy enough there, but it smacks to me as a safe bet rather than anything else. How York or London got overlooked in favour of Leigh is a bit baffling. I'd have loved to see Toulouse but with the covid year they were never going to be chosen. I really think they've missed a really big opportunity with York, and I feel really sorry for London who should really be in SL on merit once Toronto went.
Fans are up in arms, but that was always going to happen. One things always certain, rugby league fans love a good moan about the sport that they profess to adore.

Two things: Who's going to tell MR?
And No Addy then?

If we have got Addy, today would be a great day to announce him, but with that verdict I think he may stay in Leigh

If we have got Addy, today would be a great day to announce him, but with that verdict I think he may stay in Leigh Reports of us signing Danny Levi, so I would hazard a guess that the Addy rumour is a no go.

Congratulations to Leigh. Maybe, just maybe, the panel were independent and considered Leigh had the strongest case. I would have liked Toulouse or York to have been promoted and then really struggled.
Danny Levi would be an outstanding signing.
