If the RFL take this they're totally stupid Why do it? All clubs would get a share, spend it on players wages for a few years, then in Hock for ever.

But what we have at the moment is worse than what NRL Will offer. And the Marketing will be 100% better it's a few years down the line that'll start to show thats it's a good move.

But the cost in the long run will be the demise of RL and total control by Oz Look at what's happened in RU. Got big bucks, players wages all got ramped up ( for same players) and now lots of teams in Hock. If all you want is marketing you don't need anywhere near what Oz would offer SL/ RFL in the UK needs a plan and everyone to buy into it. Not control by Wigan Saints Leeds and now probably Bradford

I'd be wanting to look at the fine print on any deal.
The Pros are obvious. More money, better exposure and bags of off-field know how.
Cons for me are fairly obvious and depend on that fine print...We could just end up as a feeder competition for the NRL. Yes, we already are to a lesser degree, but making a clearer pathway for players to head south would cement our status as second class forever. The other big problem for me is that the NRL are not afraid to merge teams. They may see the likes of two Hull sides or Cas and Wakey as not required. Would a club such as ours that has struggled with crowds forever and survives on a shoestring budget be seen favourably to the NRL? Would they merge us? or change our name?
We have to be careful of what we wish for. If the NRL genuinely want to heap money into SL to raise its profile and boost the sport in the minds of the public then all is well. I just think that the NRL don't just do things without benefit to them. What exactly that benefit is will be crucial. Another point is that they are very good at what they do in a saturated RL market. It's not amazingly difficult to advertise and throw money at things in a country that has RL elevated to the same level as Premier league football in this country. It may be more of a challenge for them to make a dent in the European climate.
*EDIT*
There have been reports out of Australia that the ARLC want to control which countries are involved in Super League. Given the current situation this means they are wanting Canadian, USA, and extra EU teams in a northern competition. They are not fans of Promotion and relegation, and I think it would probably mean the death of ambitious Championship clubs like Widnes/Bradford/York. It would also mean we'd sit in a very precarious position as a club. If they got a controlling stake in SL it could mean back to all clubs making applications again which would allow them to sort out which teams they are happy to throw out of SL. Goodbye Wakey, Hull KR, or us potentially. Or hello mergers.
Tricky times, and most RL fans are blissfully unaware.

I'd be extremely wary of this.
Why do the NRL want to get involved in Super League? It's not because they want to help their Pommie mates out with a bit of cash!
I can see it being to grab all the best talent into the NRL and make the Super League a league to send their rookies over to gain experience for the NRL. Why else would they want to spend their hard earned cash?
They hold the English game in utter contempt. When Tommy Makinson and Kevin Sinfield won the Golden Boot they were asking who they were?
No for me I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
