If true, then gotta get behind him, was a cracking player, and knows the game inside out, yeah fans won't be happy but if our head coach thinks he'll help us then so be it

Happy enough with Orr as Assistant.
Marshall was saying on the Devil in the detail podcast (Little plug there chaps!) that Rowley is a 'consultant' for the club and happy in that role. Take what you will from that.

There’s a longer interview with Marshall that Paul Whiteside has done for DitD and Salford radio. In that Marshall says again that Rowkey is a consultant and stops short of definitely saying that he is staying
Makes it clear that appointing a back room team is his top priority. No idea what Danny Orr is like as a coach. Thought he was a good player with a smart rugby brain and who seemed to get every ounce out of his natural ability. He wasn’t the best player but he was good and i always got the impression he worked hard to stay at the levels he achieved.
Think him and Rowley could compliment each other if Rowley is staying on
Strength, Conditioning and Performance analyst roles are just as important so I’m interested to see who they will be

I too hope Rowley stays and would welcome Orr as well but cannot see it happening for financial reasons. Hope I am wrong.
Also - if Leigh are given the nod I wouldn`t be surprised if Rowley becomes a consultant there.

I had t realised Orr’s dad had played hit salford or that his mum is from round these parts. Turns out Marshall has family on irlam and, being from Culcheth, used to visit Cafishead Rec. my guess is that to put up with everything you have to as salford that having some emotional links makes it all easier to cope with. So hopefully it’s a good sign 🤷♂️
