But we're basing this off what Watson liked. Marshall and Orr might like players in complete different positions so i guess we'll have to wait and see. I was about to say the same. Everyone starts from a level playing field with the new coaching set up. I'm sure that Richard Marshall & Danny Orr will have a way they want us to play and I think the team will be dependent on that and how the players perform in pre season training. There may be a few surprises come game day of our first match. I think it will also dependent on how players gel together as well. Interesting times ahead

I agree - I am a Big Inu Fan and I feel he could well play a role in the second row but specifically as a wide runner down the left flank (like Zeb Taia at Saints & Ben Curry @ Wires).
Exciting times and so many International players in our line up.

Exciting times and so many International players in our line up. I think it’s fantastic that we have so many options. Inu has played brilliantly and he must be in the team. No way could he play in the pack,it’s simply not his game and I think he’d struggle with the work ethic. No disrespect to him but I just don’t see that as a realistic option

No disrespect to him but I just don’t see that as a realistic option I know he has the size and strength to play second row. We have a seeming abundance in that position but to doubt he could play there because of work ethic is almost as insulting as it is stupid. Playing out of our quarter, running hard was one of his outstanding qualities last season. Hard graft is in his DNA.

Elephant in room, no one mentions. We won't be allowed to watch live games at start.
We will have poor start, injury forces Inu into side then we build momentum. Escare starts full back moves to halves. Costello fullback Un-fancied forward (Wells/Luckley) scores try in final in build up backs win games, forwards hold the line.I
Season start experts say, fancied for relegation, end up in final
Typical SALFORD season?

Playing out and running hard is indeed a big part of his game. Its just my opinion that second row is not for him. Happy to agree to disagree.

To me a massively talented player who is so good he makes it look easy, just lacking a bit of speed now. I'd love to see him in the centre in a Hurrel type role.

I'd leave Inu on the wing as there is nobody better than him at rolling straight over his opposite number when only 5/6 metres from the line. He made McGilvrey look like a rag doll last year when scoring a try.

He made McGilvrey look like a rag doll last year when scoring a try. And Folau at least once!😁 We're blessed with backline options next year and I can see a reasonable amount of rotation especially, when it comes to any short turnarounds. Whilst he's probably best in the wing, Inu's skillset means he can definitely move around the team to fill in when injuries hit. Wouldn't be surprised to see him used in centres, back row or loose at times when required. There are going to be some very good players missing the cut for the matchday squad this season and keeping them all motivated and ready to come in firing as and when needed will be a big test of Marshall's man-management skills.

The King is Dead, Long live the king. Watson now a distant memory thanks for the memories. Now marshall takes the rains. Inexperienced maybe but been given a very good backup team in Rowley and Orr as assistants. If Richard and his team can get the players motivated and as fit as watson and brown did, i expect another great season. Looking at the squad, for the first time in years we have real strength in depth, although i do expect us to lose a couple more players before the season begins. Any coach worth is salt surely would be licking his lips at being able to run with that backline availible to him. Yes we might be a bit thin on the ground at halfback and maybe hooker but i hope this might be remedied if we can get this lad from aus called Levi. I believe Livett can step up to the plate at half back as i believe he is the most naturally gifted Rugby League player ive seen since Ratchford and Stevie Ward i just think he needs to be given the confidence by the coaching staff to enable him to play his natural game. Taylor on his day is a match winner, he could be our new Terry OShea, hopefully he will come to us with the appetite to play to the highest of his standards. Looking forward to an exciting season.

Sarginson Sio Inu Watkins Burgess Tui Brown Lussick Addy Mossop Lannon Greenwood Taylor
Ika Ackers Livett Pauli
Wells, Johnson , Escare, Aspey, Atkins, Roberts, Burke, Kear?, Williams, Luckley, Costello, Ormondroyd?
Largest 26/29? and most experienced squad for a while. All worthy of a starting place Let's hope they can gel

Suspect Sio may not be firing on all cylinders at the start of the season,I think it was a bad injury. If that’s the case then Inu stays on the wing. That pack, and bench, looks strong but I guess Marshall will make his mind up after pre season, depending on form and fitness. I know that’s stating the bleedin’ obvious but I think the second row slots are very much up for grabs
