Does anyone have any preferences who gets it next year? Personally would like Toulouse as my first choice and then London as I think both help widen the player Pool and help grow the game. Toulouse for me would be a great addition and add a french derby which would be great. London is a good presence and we have seen a few players from London really add to super league previously. Would be disappointed if we looked inwards again and gave it to another Yorkshire or Lancashire team was added, especially when we need to grow the game in a commercial aspect.

Toulouse for me. Then London and then York.
But it will probably go to a Yorkshire side as per...and yes, I realise that York is in Yorkshire. Just meant the usual Yorkshire dross.

Search out an article by Martyn Sadler, giving his view. He believes that the RFL have loaded the whole deal with people with a possible bias towards Bradford. Sorry I can’t link the article but it really stinks.

I believe that The RFL Attempted to Wriggle out of the Arrangement to move there HQ From Redhall (Located in the middle of a field outside of Leeds City centre) Because certain Elder members of the Various committees they have Didn't like the thought of having to travel once a month to the new HQ at The Ethiad Campus. However it was pointed out to them that Contracts had been signed and the Current Building had already been sold or Arranged to be Leased after being Refurbished. This info came from someone involved in the Property market A type of Business I try to avoid like the Bubonic plague. That's what the Superleague need another club within the 16/17 mile area with the rest of them are Leeds Castleford Wakefield With the exception of York 39 miles away from them, It's not the Forward looking sport we want to Be.

London Toulouse then if they insist on a Yorkshire team York City Knights. If you Have to visit another team for the County that time forgot then Have one from a City that has a bit more appeal than a Wetherspoons and Kebab shop that's open on a Sunday Afternoon.

Got to be our close respected neighbours Leigh Not respected by me. It would perfectly sum up the SL approach to the world having kicked Toronto out for not paying players and not being financially secure to replace them with Leigh or Bradford who also have a history of not paying players and not being financially secure

RuB humour, calm down dear.
London, effectively lost their place to Toronto and were relegated only on points difference, if i remember correctly, to Hull kr. Toulouse because they're French, will give competition to Catalan in France, and for other reasons (inc another day out for fans) is crass. The one team I never look forward to seeing...Catalan. Toulouse, Bradford and York would be non starters for me, all for different reasons.

I must be one of the few that thinks Bradford should be a target club to bring back to Super League in the medium term -- they have demonstrated they can attract decent crowds and be one of the bigger clubs in the game if they are run well. If. However, the time clearly isn't now for them.
Leigh should be an instant no - they bring nothing to SL so if they can't earn their way in on sporting merit I am not sure why we'd want them in.
My issue with London, York & Toulouse is that I cannot possibly see how they can raise sides that will be even remotely competitive at this level - especially in the space of 2/3 months once most business has been done, and with a smaller budget than the other SL teams -- for London and York at least, perhaps Toulouse have private backing to make up the difference?
I would probably let Toulouse have a go from the current crop as I feel they are least likely to suffer when the inevitable relegation occurs, and the exposure domestically in France will probably help the game more than if London or York came up right now.

Great article DR. We continuously moan about not being able to do it. The Board and the Foundation talk endlessly about wanting to do it. If London can do,it so can we. We get Sky money, presumably London don't. we have a £100k start on London. We have an area from Leigh to Huddersfield, full of potential Academy players. So guys, no more excuses, stop talking about it and finding reasons and arguments why not and DO IT.

Seem to remember reading that when Marwan and the club did away with the academy the cost of this was less than what we were paying Kevin Locke each year. That would go down as out poorest decision all around.
