Contracted to next year but still signed an extended contact? Got to be a sign of good things coming and a confidence from a top player in Salford and our future

Who doesn't love Sarge eh?
Like I said elsewhere, one of the most committed players I've seen in many a year.

One of those players who you are glad is playing for your team and not the opposition.

After the recent bad news this is a real plus. Great player.

Classy player in his prime, can't think of a time where we've had 2 better English centres at the club, unless williams played with Naylor at all?

I think the Sarginson / Watkins combination could be one of the best in the League. I hope we can find a couple of good forwards and the half back I think we need to see the best of them.

There won’t be many better pairings in SL I don’t think.
I know we’ve said it a few times before but the 3/4 line is looking so strong for next year
With first choices from Williams, Sio, Burgess, Watkins, Sarge and possibly Inu plus potentially Kear and Chamberlain as back up. It’s got to be our strongest since I’ve been watching
the days of Sini, Rogers, Naylor, McAvoy, Martin, Coussons was good
Hadley, Evans, Williams, Birkett was impressive too
But neither had 6 internationals to choose from!

Adrian Hadley,a blast from the past. Club mixed him up with Ieuan Evans allegedly. Actually,he was better than we gave him credit for at the time. Went down in the tackle too easily . Didn’t play his weight. Tex,Burkett and Peter Williams were good though

Judging from his Wales exploits we took the wrong option.
Think Peter Williams was 1 that if he'd have played for 1 of the glamour clubs would have been much more decorated at an international level.
Remember meeting Darren Rogers after a game once, his glasses were like Coke bottle bottoms, must have the best contact lenses ever.
