Gus Risman
Tom Danby, dual code international, ex Harliquins, toured Australia and probably Salford oldest surviving player.

I was told about the great Alex Murphy doing his national service and playing Union for Comined Services? He brought a new dimension to RU apparently which was more of a genteel game in those days.
Might be worth checking
