McCarthy resigning along with a new badge? Maybe I'm overthinking the 13 theme on Friday the 13th...

I think I like it, but I may be kidding myself as I’ve had enough negativity towards the club running through me the last week 😂.

Oops don't think this going to be universally embraced.

😂 not for me personally, prefer the old one, but all the negativity is a bit much. I think it’ll be a grower, and the kids’ll like it. Merch looks decent with it on tbf, look forward to the new shirt

Whatever the club do they cannot win. The old badge was universally hated when it came out and still is/was by a lot of people. A new more modern badge comes out and the Moaners are out again. For once can’t anyone give credit ?

It’s certainly not as bad as people are making out, I think the timing along with the build up haven’t helped but ultimately I think it will be a good thing. Reading what King has said it looks like most clubs will be doing something similar.

Makes no odds to me...i`m a true Salford Red and dont care what badge is on it so long as it is associated to our club....also want to see it on the new club shirt...any idea on when that will be revealed and ready for purchase...does anyone think it will be out and ready before xmas as i have a long queue of recipients ready...need to get the buzz early and keep going as i have missed it all so much.

What strikes me as odd is it is surely the wrong time to do this.
At a time (on the back of 2 finals) when our name and brand are in the spotlight why would you change it?
Is it not harder to market the club when you've got to get the new logo into people's conscious.

Rebranding again, out with the willow now in with the devil. Thought a brand was about something you savoured and had value, McDonald's Jaguar, Vodaphone etc all have recognisable brands and fight to keep them; they're worth millions, and of course the first ever...the Bass triangle still going. In sport a brand used to be about heritage/ tradition/ club history/ the badge. Oh well we seem to have one every couple of years now to attract a new audience?? But it keeps the designers in business.
This one, am I impressed, seems ok like many others but the devil does seem to be a chimpanzee with bulls horns, although not seen many Devils And can I understand the story, of course, you speak to any brand designer/ developer ...that's their job, to create stories and they have thousands as they need to earn corn. Worked with lots of them and they're generally very engaging people. Wonder how long will this last, says the cynic in me.
