I’d be surprised as Rowley is thought of very highly at the club, so I would think this would have been a caveat of Marshall taking the job. We shall see however.
Exciting times and I feel a bit better now we have someone in place.

Marshall will want to bring his own people in I thought Rowley and Marshall had previously worked together? Either way, new people or not I think he'll bring something really different to us.

They played at Halifax together so I wouldn't be surprised to see Rowley stick around

Wellcome to salford. Looks like a good appointment to me. Richard Marshall did well at Halifax by improving players much like Watson did here. Ideally he can do the same with better quality players at Salford. Hopefully Paul Rowley keeps his role as assistant to keep some continuity with the players

Not much to add apart from I wish him the very best, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets on next season.

Out of interest, what would you say constitutes a community club? Serious question as I don’t really know. What I would say is they are improving in getting out in to the community, schools, local clubs etc, although not enough it was as far as I could see improving pre Covid I believe a community club concept as explained at the meeting at Eccles ARLFC is as per the models of FC United and even the old Wimbledon FC. A committee is elected by the members and the club is run by a ridiculous number of committees. I much prefer the way our club is managed but I don’t believe it is a community club. As B R would say,you can’t run anything by committees. Please Don't Mention that Club FCUM On this Forum They've made the part of Moston Where there stadium is Unbelievably Downmarket. It was just Recovering from the devastation of when I left there A few Years/Decades ago.

Great appointment. Have to say as well that I have been very impressed with the club's recruitment since Watto's departure. The whole process seems to have been extremely smooth and professional. Full credit to Ian Blease and Paul King for that.

Marshall and Rowley have played at Halifax Huddersfield & Leigh together so this may be a good fit for the both of them.
