Just for Chief who said...
For some reason, I can’t start a new thread. Can someone start one about Flash, he will leave an absolutely massive hole in our set up next year. Sorry for being off topic.
I couldn’t agree more. He’s been sensational and we’re a better team when he’s on the pitch. In pretty much every game m. With Burke developing and Yates looking like he can do anything he wants I think we’re well covered but Flanagan’s passing is just that 1/2% better than anyone else’s and gives out half backs an extra second they don’t get with others at 13
He’s been a great servant of the club and leaves with nothing but gratitude and praise

That pass after the hooter in the mpg is the stand out moment for me.

Thanks RUB. I heard Watto interviewed after the Wakefield game and it sounds like Flash was instrumental in building the attitude which has taken us so far on a very limited budget. Great player. Great rugby brain. We will miss him and I wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do next.

Going to be very hard to replace for his leadership skills if nothing else.
If this had 3/4 seasons ago I'd have said go for someone like Greg Bird.

Agree wholeheartedly, Flash is a tremendous player. Ultimate professional with more than a touch of class to go with outstanding workrate. Not sure if he ever got the appreciation at a side like Saints with so many great players around him but he's been immense for us.
Would love to see him stay involved at the club but I think he's nailed on for a media role... would be a breath of fresh air replacing one of the Sky numpties!

Oiy thicko what is your obsession with playing players out of position
I suggested the same, for all his skill and handling ability he is glaringly missing 1 thing.

Would make an excellent #13 in my book.

Agree and he's played there as well. Always seems a natural centre or 2nd row.

Yeah the world's a f*cked up place when people are starting to agree with you MR.😏 I also think he'd make a cracking 13, even if for possibly one season. The thing is he's got that many attributes he can easily cover 3 or 4 positions. If he wasn't always a starter he'd be great to bring off the bench and could cover both backs and forwards IMO.
