The scary thing for me is I have a regular customer who is pretty high up the food chain for the distribution flu shots in the North West each year.
She says even if we have a cure tomorrow it would take at least 6 months for everyone to get it.
Sadly it looks like a big part of 2021 is going to be a write of too.

This thread reflects the national view. 50/50. As I said, none of us would want to be in a position to have to balance the risks, both ways, and the economic reality. This really shouldn’t be about berating any politician,of whatever party. An impossible task

Yes a rave in Astley last night apparently, 300+ snowflakes. Easy just take their privileges off them; Grants, social support, use of NHS, higher education etc Or transport them to some far off Scottish island with all their gear for 6 months We're too soft. Firstly what is a Snowflake? Secondly Isn't what you've written a Bit of a Generalisation, Do you have knowledge of these Numptys Background are you 100% Certain there all In Receipt of Grants Social support? It seems that in the last few decades everybody that a Person or People who's lifestyle you may disagree with is Automatically Claimed to be receiving something from the Government. Maybe there the Children or Grandchildren of Well off individuals The type who get all The Tax Breaks The type that may have been to the right school with the Right people The type that for Generation after Generation Get all the Hand outs and Grants ,But not from The DWP But from the White Right Wing Mainly Southeners Who Decade after Decade get all the Breaks all the Bungs .Or is this a Generalisation as well !?!? Obviously it Being Astley it's probably Nazi Sympathisers Who dress up as Hitler and go for a Yearly pilgrimage to Nurnberg & The Beer halls in Munich where the Corporal and his Buddies used to hang out.

Back on the original point, it looks like the regular season could end after our game on Monday, with the clubs meeting on Tuesday to agree playoff format and Toronto’s seemingly unsuccessful return plan. I’d guess they’ll go to a play off for anyone above 50% win rate, so top 6. If I were to read in to it I would guess we may have already known this last week, hence the game forfeit, and the social media posts around next year’s season tickets starting next week. I’d ask guess we’ll see some new signings announced too.

i think this should be the end of party politics on this thread but it just amazes me that the people who didn't want Lockdown 1 and could solve everything with hindsight are now the people calling for earlier Lockdown 2 Let's face it we only get info fed from dumb reporters or often rogue profs who think they have a priviliged view because they have a title. We don't really know what's going on but if we don't support what's being planned then it'll go on forever. The only people who'll solve this are the scientists. Have faith, we have a fantastic bio science base in this country. I agree with most of this. We do have a fantastic science core in the UK, but the trouble here is that those who make the decisions are only defaulting to them when it's too late, or if it fits with their own political agendas. Being critical of those in charge doesn't make it a political argument either. If it was Labour making these poor decisions I'd be equally loud in my criticism. We unfortunately are faced with a cabinet that is completely out of its depth. National emergencies like this should be a joint parliamentary venture to ensure focus and avoid the point scoring that is going on.

Agree with the joint parliamentary group Carnster because effectively we have a war against a virus. Would they all join in, not sure. It seems today that all politicians treat everything as a political football. Jimmy Cranky up north waits til,the Gov makes a decision , amends it a bit, used to launch it in a grave ministerial way at midday before the English version: her agenda, nothing to do with CV, but independence.
Let's hope SAGE linked to the research community sort this out. Politicians of all parties these days seem to be treating politics as a career and their main focus is their own job. Frightening all this self interest.
And the Cas game off now, as the RL has locked down the Club apparently, too much CV. Let's hope they lose the key. In RU any club not playing thro CV lost the fixture 14-0. I would love to see the interview with Happy Powell if that happened here.

Whichever party you support, any government would be on a loser. Half the population want more lockdown, the other half want none. I’d hate to have to make that sort of judgment call when lives are at stake in both scenarios. Bonitared I take on board what you say,but in one respect it does not hold up.The inference the others would not do any better. That part can't be proven, what can be proven is the present government have made a dogs breakfast of it,and you don't have to be a philidelphea lawyer to prove it. And you could even make a case that they have cost lives. No am afraid this is definitely Boris The Bufoon Johnson's baby, like the saying goes he will have to rock it.Bonitared of course I will not be falling out with over my opinion.Because Boris Johnson wouldn't be worth it.As I have said before I have lost a family member to the virus, who was discharged to a care home. This situation is serious we need more than a court jester leading the response.

Just to say you do know who to believe, those with nothing to gain. You also know who not to trust, who see all this as a great chance to make some dosh. The Trotters are in charge of one political Party that can win an election and the Woodentops are in charge of the other. So take your pick.
