Totally gutted we didn't get the chance to attack to win that game. Pauli's play the ball was no different to 80% of the ones before it and Mr Moore decided that particular one was incorrect. The next Leeds PTB the player made no attempt to touch it with his foot. Another case of Referees deciding games

Not the ref not Pauli Pauli. It is what it is to be where we are now is outstanding. It won’t be 51 yrs before the next CC final.

Yes that could have gone either way, but let’s not dwell on it. It won’t help anything.
At least we’re losing a higher class of game these days. They couldn’t have given any more in the match and I’m proud of them.

The boys were outstanding and dug in brilliantly. The way they fight and work together is as good as any team I've seen over the last 40+ years of watching Salford. They appear to thrive on adversity and get stronger. I'm gutted we were denied the chance to attack with 4 minutes left for something that happened all the way through the game

They gave their all,we are not entitled to Anymore. I am proud to support this club like I have from 1954. I say a big thank you to one and all.

Referee didn’t decide it. We weren’t smart enough often enough. The Pauli one was probably the right call. The difference with the Leeds one just after was that the Leeds player stayed on his feet so was in control. There was one in the first half that was the same - where a Leeds player fell after playing the ball with salford tacklers still on him - and the ref have a knock on. It felt tough because of the time in the game and the place on the pitch but it was probably right
Totally gutted but we can’t blame that one call

Disagree RUTB that was the most crucial call in the match, On the next play Gale went on to drop the goal
Two players were pushing PP s head down from the replay, I honestly thought he'd given a penalty to Salford
I will support refs and hate having a go, but Leeds pressing or often offside in the 1st half was never penalised. In fact I only think there was one offside and that was against us.
My gripe is that two Finals and two young inexperienced refs. Not as bad as Kendall but Thaler would have run the game much better
However as Watto said we threw the ball away too much in their 20, Evalds kick etc but I still think we were grinding on top and 16-16 with 5 tackles left on the half way. In with a better chance.
And they were bloody tired after having to play a Tuesday, stupidity from the Rzl

We could find reasons everywhere, within the game and exterior stuff.
I honestly don't care, this squad is magic and only having to rebuild "again" annoys me.

Carnster is of the same opinion as me.Re our kicking game.I don't think I or we disrespect our performance by analysing the game, far from it.The players and the coach will do the same.

Leeds rushed us at every moment, it was the essence of their game plan and it worked a treat. The only question is how you respond, other than how SRD did, to exploit, turn it to your advantage or negate it.
There wasn't an awful lot more to their win apart from margins and a bit of luck.
In this sense this was one of the easier games to look into because beyond that we would have edged it.
