Only a week to go, you have every reason to be excited!! Here's my 17 final for the final. I'd prefer us to start Yates at 13 and then bring Flanagan off the bench so we can throw it around a bit more once the game has settled. Leeds will come out all guns blazing like they did against Wigan in the semi-final and when we played them a few weeks ago. It is imperative that we get off to a good start and don't concede early points, we can't afford to go 12-0 down in a final like we did the other night. Yates makes hardly any errors, has excellent discipline and is one of our best defenders so I'd prefer us to start with him. Having listened to Watson's interview on RDTV before the Huddersfield game, he mentioned Niall is back training and looking really sharp so I think he might find himself a place on the bench to cover the backs. I'd definitely prefer him over Elliot Kear and Niall can cover every position across the back line as well as scrum half and stand off, and I have the feeling he could come on in the 2nd half and score a try. You heard it here first! Finally, Watto has been putting a lot of faith in Pauli Pauli recently but I wasn't impressed with his defensive performance against Warrington. Blake Austin walked past him for one of their tries when Pauli has a chance to smash him, we can't afford to be giving away easy tries like that in the final. I'd prefer us to select Ryan Lannon or Oliver Roberts who are much more solid and have a better rugby brain. Leaning toward Lannon over Roberts though as he's played for the club for longer. 1. Sarginson 2. Inu 3. Welham 4. Watkins 5. Williams 6. Tui 7. Brown 8. Mossop 9. Lussick 10. Dudson 11. Greenwood 12. McCarthy 13. Yates 14. Ikahihifo 15. Flanagan 16. Pauli Pauli, Lannon or Roberts (I believe Watto will go with Pauli Pauli but I'd go with Lannon or Roberts) 17. Evalds 26 - 16 Salford Inu MoM performance with 2 tries and 5 goals. Sarginson to have a stormer!

I’ve said it on another thread, but I would have Evalds at fb if fully fit. Sarge would move into centre and either Welham or Watkins on the bench.

Big game to throw him back into the mix, however, he has to play on Tuesday against Hull KR to have any chance of walking out at Wembley for me. I can see Inu dropping out, Ashall-Bott playing on the wing and Niall starting at full back.

On current form Inu is the 1st name on the team sheet.
Evalds is a brilliant player ut has already nailed his colours to the Castleford mast for next season so he doesn't deserve any special treatment.
He's not played for a number of weeks and we've done OK, it's Sarges place right now and it's up to Evalds to prove he's better.

Yes I'd rest Inu for the final, but if Niall is to also play at Wembley I believe he'll need some game time and should start on Tuesday night v Hull KR. Ashall-Bott can slot onto the wing in place of Inu. When was the last time Niall played? Against Leeds 4-5 weeks ago?

Absolutely, I’d rest everyone for the final if we could. Agree re evalds, I’m not bothered about him leaving sentament goes out of the window, if he’s fit he improves us it’s all about winning. But surely can’t prove he’s match fit if he’s not played for 6 weeks. It’d be a nice problem to have

It will be interesting to see what happens with regards to Niall coming back, like I said earlier, Watto said he looked sharp in training and Sarginson has made a few crucial errors despite playing out of his skin. I don't think Sarginson has ever played full back regularly before, therefore, it would make sense to play Niall as he's easily one of the best players in the competition on his day. But I think he'll need a run out on Tuesday night versus Hull KR first.

Can see him being picked over Evalds.

1. Evalds 2. Inu 3. Watkins 4. Sarginson 5. Williams 6. Lolohea 7. Brown 8. Mossop 9. Lussick 10. Dudson 11. Greenwood 12. McCarthy 13. Yates
14. Ikahihifo 15. Burke 16. Flanagan 17. Welham or Atkin
Would bring Evalds back if he can prove his fitness, offers much more at FB than Sarginson. Unfortunate for Welham but believe Watkins and Sarge are better attacking threats. Would leave Pauli Pauli out as think is a defensive liability outside of Tui.

Welham has a nailed on place If Evalds fit and plays, Sarge on the bench and he can play any of the backs, back up hooker, or second row loose forward in the Bateman mould. Be great to see him running amok in the forwards, like a retriever snapping at your ankles.

In the Grand Final last year, Regan Grace was one on one with Evalds. Despite his illegal attempt to jump over Evalds, Evalds tackled him. Could you really see Sarge doing that? Evalds has to play if match fit.

He can't be match fit 'cos he hasn't played for a month or so if he's somewhere near they might start with him and Sarge on the bench
