They’re building a statue in Cardiff of 3 code breaking greats. It’s a fantastic initiative and well overdue that the birth city of so many RL legends had a monument to mark their success. You can vote for the three you want out of 13 choices at the link below Gus Risman and Colin Dixon are in there www.rugbycodebreakers.co.uk/

Quite amazing if you read about Gus he won the Challenge Cup with Workington when he was 41!

Gus Colin & Boston for me from the choices but I would have gone for Danny Wilson if he was in the list.

They reckon Jim Sullivan was one of the all time greats. Record phenominal. But have a read about Frank Whitcombe.

I was torn but went for Gus, Colin and Boston. Leaving out Clive Sullivan and Roy Francis was hard. It's hard to imagine our sport without the influence and importance of black individuals, how much poorer it would all have been without them. The fact that it's done under the headline codebreakers is poor instead of Welsh RL greats. Dai W didn't make the final cut which is weird. (Just realised the term was Cardiff not Welsh! )
