And if they were on their own we wouldn't be as bothersome as we are to them, as well as they'd never have to travel to tournaments which they seem to regard as beneath them and they'd always be world champs cos they'd be the only ones playing it. Sounds like a digger's wet dream to me.

Highly recommend it. I did have a chuckle when this quote popped-up in it and I immediately thought of this post... 'Just two weeks after the forming of the Northern Union Leeds committee member Harry Sewell argued "We want to do away with that scrummaging, pushing and thrusting game, which is not Rugby...that is why I propose to abolish the line-out and reduce the number of forwards to six. The rugby public does not pay to see a lot of scrummaging." Here's a guy much after my own heart from the late 1800's!

Carnster do you mean 'out of date'?

Carnster do you mean 'out of date'? Timeless, would be a more apt description.

Carnster do you mean 'out of date'? Timeless, would be a more apt description. Whenever there is a discussion about change I always think of all the people who were ahead of their time and how, more or less without fail, their idea(s) came to be accpted.
Lance Todd - Summer Rugby to name but one.
