I think Salford has had one of the highest infection rates in the NW, so having fans at the AJ Bell will be some distance away...

I'm fiercely proud to be a a Salfordian but good God the rank and file are as dumb as dumb.

The decisions made on crowds are very indicative of the nonsense we're all facing.
It's a bit like Jaws except it was never safe to go back in the water.
All this and a depression right behind, I don't just worry about losing a fair number of clubs I'm concerned we won't have a sport.
And I have always found it hard enough having a close season.

I know where you're coming from. I think we'll survive as a sport, but I don't think all the clubs will survive this. I'd expect that all of the SL clubs will survive, but the longer you take the ability of clubs to make money away from them it'll only be a matter of time. Especially for those clubs outside the SL. Looking on the flip side though, it may be a time for clubs and the sport to try different things that they might not of tried under different circumstances. The cardboard cut-outs are a decent example of thinking outside the box. Maybe to survive the sport needs to try a different approach while we live with a pandemic?

There's no doubt keeping fans engaged so they don't just join the drift away is one target, but gaining new ones will also be essential ( This was one of the reasons I was keen to defend no scrums and six again ) because we have an older fan base generally. We are also economically poor comparitively and based in the poorer end of England. The depression coming can only hit our fan base really badly!
Yes the cardboard cut-outs was/is great and we need to Find & move other strategies in that direction.
At the same time the Aussies are trialling less scrums because they're scardey cats about radical change.
