Being from a Welsh family (and Wales RU fan) I thought I'd remember Rob Ackerman but I just don't remember him playing for Salford.

Adds even more to my yearly cry for Salford to do something near St David's day with our Welsh history.

By coincidence,we’d been talking about him a couple of months ago,not sure how it cropped up.
He was a terrific Welsh RU centre but by the time he came to us he was a second rower. I had great hopes because I rated him but,to be honest,he wasn’t great in the pack. Never seemed to break a tackle and went through the motions,albeit worked hard.
I think he played about 15 games but stand to be corrected
