I don’t get why the thought of a points deduction is ‘rubbish’. The revised arrangements were agreed by all and Sky payment is dependent upon it. If anyone else failed to fulfil a game it would be a points deduction so why would Toronto get away with it just because they haven’t sorted visa issues that existed last year and refuse to bring in players from elsewhere? Also, they have a few other issues like not paying players and suppliers on time which also existed pre-Covid.
That being said, I think they’ll muddle through somehow.

Toronto just playing the system. They break the rules, which allows them to play, they pay the consequence. 6 -12 points for non fulfilment of fixtures 6-12 points for not paying players These are not Covid19 issues. These are failures of administration and financial planning. Russ you can have Ottawa Toronto New York, Reykjavik or wherever. I'll have Cumbria, Newcastle, London, Bristol. I think there should be World 7s or 9s tournaments for all these other teams external to U.K. Then build the 7s and 9s in those countries before developing leagues there. This has worked well in RU, is much simpler and builds leagues not one off teams requiring new rules, lots of support and issues like the one we have now.

The Challenge Cup game against Saints to be played as a Double header at Huddersfield
The Wigan v Warrington game will be live on BBC One at 14:30 BST on 22 August, and the Saints v Salford tie, a repeat of last year's Grand Final, will be live on BBC Two at 17:00.

IMO they have not broken rules and they don't try it on any more than anyone else.
The pandemic has played havoc with their visa arrangements as well as SL.
I'm quite happy with places like Newcastle as well but the only time any of them truly matter is when it's a choice of them or SRD (Us).

Two of the rules are, in short - play your matches - pay your players To ensure that happens clubs have a board with an administrator and an accountant

Looks like we are good to go (Salford players agree to 15% paycut):

Before we even start playing again promotion and Relegation should be decided one way or another. When are they going to decide at the end of the season.

15% is hefty by anyone's reckoning but I suppose it's better that the club going altogether.

Before anybody starts taking it too easy, Trafford Golf Centre opened with really strict protocols. Heard it's totally closed as somebody has CV19 and they have to do a deep clean for about 5 days before any of it can open. People being traced.
