Wigan Athletic have gone into Administration They are also rumoured to be for sale ,Would new owners want Wigan playing there. RL has been playing second fiddle for a few years at the Pie dome . Should be interesting if some Foreign consortium would want them. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53247333

I thought they were separate now: Next Leader Fund (don't laugh) were in charge of the soccer side who (apparently) own 85% of the ground. Ian Lenegan owns the Wigan Rugby League Football club but I am not sure Wigan RLFC can afford the ground. They have a very long lease on it.

Can’t see it really impacting the RL team unless the stadium company subsequently goes bust for some reason. Can’t see any reason why any new owner of the FC would want to turf the RL side out — ultimately they’re a tenant and the FC have the run of the place so why would you want to get rid of them? According to Wikipedia the council own 15% of the stadium co as well anyway.

Let's hope that means they get treated a bit better from now on then.
