If you're planning on making a weekend of it next year I'd recommend getting something booked ASAP. I booked something on Air BnB earlier today but there wasn't much around at a decent price. Hotels looking pricey as well.
Maybe worth looking further out near Whitley Bay or Sunderland for value if you don't mind getting the metro into town.

Stayed in Durham when I visited, got the Marriott for a steal and such a nice place for a few beers and food.

Stayed in Durham when I visited, got the Marriott for a steal and such a nice place for a few beers and food. £126 a night is the cheapest I can see for there so not so much a steal seeing as we've paid £260 for a 3 bed apartment for 3 nights!  |
