Doesn’t look good for us in particular:

As many of us have frozen our Sky subscriptions,it’s not unexpected and, hopefully, the government money will be used to plug the gap as that’s presumably why they gave it to the RFL. Can’t help but think this is also connected to the upcoming Sky contract renewal

So what the RFL again have done is taken a low ball offer.
Pretty sure SKY would have been obligated to pay the contractually agreed amounts, feels like a bit of smoke and mirrors to me.

Something just occurred to me, Football is showing some games free to air why is RL not being given the same chance to reach a wider audience at a time where people are looking for distractions.

So that means Wakefields Budget for Ground Maintenance will drop £100 to £43.99.

Assume then the RFL has no form of insurance cover on the contract

Assume then the RFL has no form of insurance cover on the contract You wouldn’t be able to insure this in relation to a tv rights contract

Can't see how teams living at the lower end of the scale (Salford, Wakefield & Hull KR) possibly manage with even less revenue.
The honourable thing to do would be to put a hold on P&R until incomes streams get back to normal, all this will bring about is whole scale asset stripping of talent and a huge reduction of the product on offer, this will then mean that the lower teams will be even less attractive to SKY meaning less live games and further rduce income.
