Is he any good though?
Mate who's a Salford fan but married a Saints fan (yes I know just odd) says he's always looked OK when he's seen him.
Bit undersized for me.

Forty20 still talking this one and saying very much a like for like with Kris, and yet again praising Watto as just the coach to bring him on.

Saab and Sailor two young kids at the Draggons are out of contract end of this season, and are looking for a way out, teams in AUS up to the limit on salary,
Also would look at Jai Fields, was at the draggons, now gone to the Eels, was on a week by week contract, believe he signed a 1 year contract, but as eels now signed Rankin , they may let him go. very good fullback.

There's a few good suggestions there and plenty more fish in the sea.
Rankin was interesting I wonder if Evalds would ever be offered a gig at the Eels?

Yes Mitch he is, very good player along with Saab, and Jai Fields, just cant get a gig over there, sort of the same reason Evalds never played for England.
Just with we had some money too offer these kids a chance over here.

If the States does seriously get involved in RL it won't really bother about the NRL or Superleague They see sport as a business and they have big investors who'll come in at the right time. They'll just open a franchise competition of their own and buy the worlds best players. The money in Superleague and the NRL to that matter is loose change to them. Australia or the UK controlling sport in the States, not a chance in the long term.

Having seen the set ups in the States first hand, and the standard of investment, it’ll be light years before it’s up and running to any decent professional standard,so I think the NRL is safe for 20 years or so. Russ will put this in his BR glass half empty file

I’m not so sure about that JJR. It hasn’t happened with Association football. They pay big money for European stars at the end of their career but don’t get anyone at the top of their game. Admittedly the wages in round ball are so high that they would take some incentive to play in a lower standard and that isn’t the case with any rugby comp of either code. But China pay even more and no one wants to play there

RUTB, Toronto paying for everything themselves have attracted good players inc SBW, which we couldn't do The money in RL is a pittance. I think if it did take off they'd be a queue of players. In the States they know how to make sport pay and even if just one franchise every other state, they'd kill it. But we'll see. The issue is ...will they like it?
I'll never understand why the RL doesn't get it right in this country first. Gradually developing Newcastle, Sheffield, York, Cumbria , Gloucester, London teams. And the World RL work hard in France. So we can have a good spread and maybe 2 good professional and 3 or 4 semi pro leagues eventually. But it all seems gung ho for world RL.
Interesting.

Have long said that if the right people in the US got involved RL would be a massive hit. I know I've said this before but any time I showed anyone over there any RL footage they were amazed and really liked it.
Think of it like this, they like hard impact, action packed sport (with the exception of baseball which I never got) and if you think about it the very definition of RL hard impact and action packed.
What you need to do in the States is align RL teams to the NFL teams and fans will follow regardless, it is like wendyball over here it is a religion to them.
Say start a team in Boston aligned to the Patriots and call the franchise the fighting Irish the whole city would be into it.

I think calling them the same name if they were linked is a real way forward, if the money was here in the UK doing the same with football, same colours, team name and possibly a joint season ticket would add a great deal to the marketable quality of the game.
