If Kevin Beige is going to retire comes seasons end I think the club could look at Kane Elgey.
He's retired at the age of 25 from Manly saying he's lost his love for the game in the NRL.
Get him talking to Hastings about the love he'll receive and how he can recharge the batteries and rediscover his love for the sport.
If you watch this highlights reels he looks a bit special backing up and that long ball left looks deadly, just need a good left wing now LOL

Think we'll end up with Dec Patton from Wire. Decent enough and the right age. There are plenty of talented halves in the NRL feeder competition that we can look at. Just pray we don't get another Littlejohn.

I'm not sure about this view, I think Wolves attitude to Patton is more questionable and to do with how he's performed generally. I'm also certain he would do better with Watto as his coach.

I think he’s ok but with the now quite serious lack of creativity in our team in my opinion I don’t think he’s what we need. We have a solid team but need a creative player otherwise our main attacking threat will rest with Tui and possibly whoever Evalds replacement is.

I can understand why you'd think that about him and the team but I think with the right personel changes all that can be overcome. Having said that Watto does go for the workman like performers which is all about cost.

I know but if we keep stripping creativity then even the most optimistic of fans won’t expect us to continue at this level for long. You need a sprinkling of quality with the graft. To save money we’d have to take a risk on a youngster/liability/bad lad but I’m fine with that.

I'm really intrested in this bit " ....we’d have to take a risk on a youngster/liability/bad lad but I’m fine with that."
Have you got a few examples of who you'd think would be right and I suppose affordable?

Give it time the way they are going in Australia I'm sure some plumsack will mess up.
I'm convinced that Jack DeBelin if he gets let off will get a gig in SL as the NRL will not touch him.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Barba back in SL either.

I’ve not had chance to scout much Russ down to the current situation but I agree with MR here, we’ll probably have to play the waiting game and see who becomes available.

Don't totally write Brown off. Try against Wigan, simple but class. He knew exactly what to do ans wasn't outshone by JH He has everything for this and next season and can bring others along. All depends on his attitude as it's his swan song

Think he's on a 2 year contract, so Atkin learns with him or get SOE
