I understand that injuries are causing a look at this but:
It is not hard to find training videos or watch games where teams are trained : first one stops the player, second one stops the off-load, third one attacks the legs. If the third tackler goes above the knees, there is a possible entanglement with the others in trying to bring the tackled player down.
So if the second tackler goes in on the knees, and then the third tackler comes in As the tackled person is going down … I see worse injuries.
