MR the three restart options were all set out a few weeks ago - give it a Google. Basically everyone will start training at the same time though. Discussions are ongoing but clubs are favouring ‘option 1’ and a November Grand Final at the moment. I don't think it's guaranteed that they'll start together LR. It should be but finances are more crucial than ever in all decisions.

We love to slag off the RFL but credit where it is due they have done rather well with a very difficult situation. As there is only just over 8 weeks until the proposed season start anyway everyone will be starting as soon as possible and very soon I’m sure.

Not being sure about the effects of the money on the start is hardly grassy knoll second shooter material LR.
Some clubs will be more wary than others is all.

I was referring to the ‘shambles in the making’ point. Let’s see how it plays out - I’m sure we’ll be fine. Those with games in hand start first anyway so we’ll have a week or two extra and can start training later - I’m sure we won’t be complaining about that ‘advantage’.

It was just a bit of GNB LR (good natured banter)
If there's three matches a week there'll be moaning about the size of squad effects too, and they will make the difference on success or otherwise.

Apparently talks are ongoing to start mid July, got to be a crazy idea to delay for so long.
You have to factor in that if the season ends back end of November or early December the usual restart date after the off season isn't viable any longer, you can't expect players to take a couple of weeks of and then head into a new pre season, also you then have to factor in that everything needs to be finished by the beginning of October next season as the world cup starts October 23rd.
Not an issue for the NRL based players as they will be finished way before us this season but you'll have all the European based players heading into a WC basically having been flogged to death for the thick end of 15 months.

What would be crazy would be to worry about how the dates pan out just at this moment. The World Cup is on the distant horizon and next season will just have to fit in when it’s safe to play. Going to watch a game seems miles off unfortunately. Im assuming they are working to a plan for when they get the go ahead, judging by this mornings statement which,in truth,I found quite difficult to follow

I think the July dates were originally what they were looking at, early August seems to be the agreed date now with the games in hand going first (so not us).

Instead of trying to fit as many games as possible they should be starting from a sensible finish date and see what can be done around that.
Have they decided anything about relegation yet, or will we only find out if and when some team goes down?

The number of games and when and how they're played is presumably all about the Sky deal. They pay, the RL has to listen.
