Look at our teams over the last few years under Watson and the only real ‘maverick’ player we had was Lui and even he reigned it in for the good of the team. Chase? He was already at Salford when Watson took over wasn’t he? Happy to be corrected as I can’t quite remember. |

I'd call Hastings a maverick player, so many times last season we scored the tries we did is because the opposition couldn't work out the system Hastings was playing to close to the line because it didn't exist.

I've no idea whether Escare will be available and Watson would do his due diligence but I’d be inclined to give him a shot. I respect Font’s point about Guasch but we’re a team of misfits and if Watson reckons he could make it work then it’d be fine by me |

Right from the start he’d said Watson had told him to attack the line more and run the ball. He also regularly had drop off passes to Jones, running plays on the last tackle to Bibby and high kicks to the full back from deep to give the defence time to move up. He was quiet against us in the last game because Watson knew how to stop him. Cracking player but definitely listened to the boss. |

Seen Tony hundreds of times, good player and I'm surprised at the response to him, even when there's no chance of him coming here.
