No Maurice Richards ? Still the greatest winger ever, just shading Keith Fielding. For those too young to remember these two, we had the best by a mile.

Yes,I think Jason Critchley won the centre spot ahead of Gus Risman. The Wales RL site gave the voting numbers which were very surprising ! It’s a generation thing, obviously, and that’s fine. Crackers, but fine.

I believe they needed a certain number of appearances for Wales to qualify - 12 or 15 I think - and Maurice only has 3
Critchley getting in over many of the other choices was a big surprise but he romped it. Risman should be in there. As you say must be a generational thing. It’s the problem with democracy - the best known beats the most talented 😊 I was surprised Hadley and Young didn’t make the cut either. And there are plenty of others not there - Scott Gibbs, Paul Moraliarty, John Devereux
Not sure all of those were nominated but I remember young, Hadley and Gibbs were

Gob smacked that John Devereux and my personal favourite Dai Young, both played when Wales legitimately had a team that could give any team in the world a run for there money.

I emailed in about this when Dixon wasn't among the loose choices and although I understood the criteria/explanation I still thought what rubbish!

Well it was something along the lines of number of matches in a Welsh Jersey and whether they were in that position.
He only played once for Wales at loose and more in the second row. But I think it's just those within living memory and not enough left that recall how good he was in all the positions he played to vote.
I can't imagine an all time Welsh side not having space for him but ther you go.
