Obviously we don't have any rugby going on at the moment and probably for some time to come. I've spent quite a few hours watching some of the seasons highlights from our past and really enjoyed them.
The set of three "videos" from season 1990-91 I've really enjoyed seeing some of our quality players from the past. I'm fortunate (Or unfortunate) enough, depending on how you look at it to remember this great season for Salford. Kevin Tamati took charge and we had a great season after being relegated the season before. Some of the individual tries together with some of the team plays areas good as any I've seen while watching Salford.
We had players that had lots of flair and also totally committed to our club. Some of them still come down to watch us today. The players we had that season included Adrian Hadley, Tex Evans, Peter Williams, Ian Blease, Steve Kerry, Mark Lee, Steve Gibson, Mick Worrall, Andy Burgess, Martin Birkett, David Fell, the coach Kevin Tamati and a few others.
It was also great to see another Salford great in John Wilkinson on some of the footage. For those off you "lucky enough" to remember it was the start of the ESAB sponsorship.
A massive thanks to the club for getting this archive footage on to RDTV together with full games from recent seasons. It's great value at £5.00 a month and it will help the club
