I can't for the life of my find the article (I read it while I was out walking) but it went something along the lines of because of the current lock down in Australian sports large American investment groups are circling not only to buy teams but entire leagues.
It basically said that because the leagues have only limited funds they can be bought on the cheap, the franchise system they use in Australian sport would fit more the American way of doing things.
My thoughts were would Super League be a viable option for something similar?
Or in the RFL's case would they sell or be to self centred and want to keep the current tired system in place?

I’m no fan of the RFL,who is,but selling off to American investors may not be the brightest thing to do. There’s so little money in rugby league that having another party wanting their slice of the cake would be very risky. Ok,there’d be an upfront payment but ,on past experience, that’d soon be squandered. Shake hands with these people, then count your fingers afterwards.
