And if they have the same conveyor belt churning out stunningly hot human beings you'll like it.

I've some distant relative or relatives who was born there they were Ethnic Germans Who started off where Kazakhstan is !! They ended up in North London and one of them worked at White City stadium when a Rugby League team played there, Apparently Salford played there a few times. Sometime in the mid 1930s This is from a article on RL In London Rugby League was first introduced in London by a former Canadian Mountie called Brigadier-General A C Critchley, a man whose other schemes included a surprisingly unsuccessful cheetah racing circuit and who is credited with bringing greyhound racing to the UK. Fancy that Cheetah racing never really became popular !!

If you want an interesting read get a book about probably Britains greatest ever sportsman.
MAX WOOSNAM, who? A really good read. Not an RL guy but I think he did captain Man City and there maybe a road named after him near the ground. Think the book is
"All round genius. The story of Britains greatest ever sportsman"...Max Woosnam
Anyway Google it, it's there. Quite amazing

I wouldn't think so. And I certainly can't remember any taxidriver being attractive to me.
I'd forgotten all about him until this thread started. If you've not read it, worth a read.

Dropped a guy of at Swinton pool hall a few weeks ago who as he was getting out (he'd had a shandy or 10) said I am a sports fan try and look up Max Woosnam as he's fascinating.
I'd only ever heard of Ian Woosnam, wonder if they are related. Just did a check and can't find a link between the 2 but he did spend a lot of his time in Mid Wales and a Woosy was from Oswestry highly possible.
