Sports Lawer Richard Cranmer says in an article I was reading today. That when we come through this pandemic, that future TV monies will be drastically reduced it could be the end of the stupid money payed in football and other sports also with sky Rugby League could be collateral damage. And in future could go back to being semi professional.Any thoughts.

I think there will be a major restructuring of society as a whole. Sounds a bit dramatic but if we are all put on lockdown for three months with half of us working from home and the other half being propped up by the government it’s pretty likely. In my line of work for example I don’t imagine some will ever return to the office (if I get the hang of it I’ll probably be one of them).
It’s an easy bet that rugby league will go through some big changes. Worth pointing out that lawyers are generally not the best at predicting the future though.

I think money will go down in all sports for next season,
some sports will survive some wont,
I think unless we get the season going pretty quick, some teams will go under, poss quite a lot in first and championship, and poss 1 or 2 in super league, as for the rest the TV companies will have a big say what will happen to sports in this country, and i think the players will know this , so we can only but wait and see what happens. At the moment the NRL is still going as i write, but if they stop playing they have more to loose than we have. And i think it could be the money men who talk.
