Hopefully MR you're self employed so you might get some help. New statement from the Chancellor tonight. Fingers crossed mate, driving a cab must be terrifying these days, we all respect you.
From what the Dept of Health is saying looks as though this will go on for 6 months with bits of relief in between. And I don't believe a word the Chinese are saying about it having completely stopped except for people bringing it in. For once Trump said the right thing Chinese Flu and it is.

What they've offered in theory will help but in reality many will be in such a massive hole by the time the cash becomes available that the damage will be irrevocable.
I stopped working on Tuesday, the shear volume of absolute dullards wanting to sit in the front seat, shake hands and no end of other moronic stunts just made it to difficult, well throw in the total lack of work and well that's me done and possibly for good.
Was out for my daily constitutional earlier and ran into Bandgeekmafia, had a brief (socially responsible) chat. Personally think we'll go on an even stricter lock down, the canal from Worsley to Monton earlier was like the M60 in rush hour, they'll just not allow it.
Chatted to a Nurse earlier who said they are busy converting the shops inside Hope Hospital into IC wards, they are expecting things to get worse, much much worse.

Keep going mate, the way people came out clapping tonight was sensational. For the NHS but also for those people like you supermarket workers, delivery drivers, taxi drivers etc who are all trying to get us thro this mess. Sport will happen when it's time but people like you keep the world going round.
And the Chinese.....they apparently brought out another phone today. Think we should take a long look at our relationship to them.

From what they were saying at the weekend, I’d take a guess that they’d be looking at allowing teams to start training again around late August, games behind closed doors sometime in September and crowds watching games again in October. Could they still finish even a shortened season then?

I personally don't think the season will go ahead as it is now.
I think Toronto's "Leak" that the Rugby League are considering making the season null and void is to test the water. I think most people realise that we're in unprecedented times and, much as we all love our club and the game as a whole, we need to protect people. It makes sense to hang fire and not rush back too soon.
The only problem with this is the lack of revenue to protect the clubs players and staff. Maybe later on in the year, August or September they could organise a tournament where we have 2 mini leagues playing each other once with the top 2 in each league having semi finals & then the Final at Old Trafford.
After no sport for four or five months we might get some really good crowds to see a mini tournament? Just a thought

Doubt the season will go ahead in any recognisable form.
The RFL need to find a way to get something bumper sorted, a 9's tournament each weekend at a big venue, get as many fans in as possible and an even split between the teams.
Just have to get in s much as you can as quickly as possible when we can get going again.
