4.5 hr drive from Toronto and about 2.5 from Montreal. Both really scenic drives. Flights are all connecting as you say. Great City as well

Total joke. Who is responsible for planning this, the Direcot of Rugby for the RU? Why don't they do it properly and develop a national league in Canada
But we're getting there Catalan, Toulouse, Toronto, Ottawa, London.
I hope they hurry up, get Belgrade, New York, Valencia and four others and then we can re-form RL, if there's any players left, in the North.

A few thoughts on Ottawa.
The fact there is no direct flights is disappointing, not their fault but not ideal.
The promo pic of the launch and people is shocking, 4 frumpy people holding a totally non descript shirt is terrible.
Sorry but the RFL needs to take a stand and say you need to be able to host games at home from seasons start, the potential of games 'on the road' offers an unfair advantage to some, play Toronto at Warrington as an away game and there's no intercontinental travel, play them in Toronto and there's a distinct disadvantage.
Can see the same situation as Toronto transpiring, having to pay over the odds for average players.

RE: New York RL. Watched the Press conference on Our league app The fellow in charge of the NYC team is called Ricky Wilby. I had him mistaken for the Infamous Tim Wilby the ex RL player from the 90s , He had something to do with the Huddersfield/ Hull merger. And smuggler of amphetamines, But thankfully it wasn't him. T.Wilby last known as a caretaker on a London council estate and part time escort !!
