Minus points Where do I start ! a) Atkin - Never took the line on and his one `trick` was the inside ball. b) Sio - failed to take a good PP pass which `might` have changed the games direction. c) Welham - finished. d) Mo - 2nd time this season beaten on his outside and his oppo scoots in. e) Mossop - Can go for me unless he can show some `fire`. f) Lussick - Shadow of former self. Not worth another contract. g) Wattos tactics/structures 1) Continuous 1 man Rugby. 2) The 3 Scoots (Stooges) - Sio, Mo & Welham - so predictable & use up 60% of `our` ball. 3) Defensive line speed is atrocious. Compare how Saints charge up to the Oppo thus gaining stranglehold. 4) Biggest concern is Paul King`s House as fans will vote with their feet unless fundamental changes made
Plus points
a) Flash - will be even better next week with Brown back. Two pivots on the pitch. (Maybe Burke as well to make 3)
b) Pauli Pauli - another 80 minutes and our best forward.
c) I`m away next couple of weeks

The problem was the D of the middles. (How very modern) But why? And yes no tackling round the legs. Strange I've never seen so many breaks through the centre of our defence

Strange I've never seen so many breaks through the centre of our defence This has been and still is our biggest weakness, even going back to the pre season games. Not sure what the answer is but it's resulting in us being in our own half for the majority of the games so far. People can call our tactics one man rugby etc but when were getting dominated through the middle every game then we're not winning many. The only positive is that we have stayed in games such as Hudds (10-12) and even yesterday was only 4 tries to 3 despite them being a lot better overall, which shows there must be at least some team spirit there even if it doesn't look like it at times. Hopefully the return of Brown will improve our last tackle options as about 4 or 5 times yesterday we didn't even manage to get a kick away and just took the tackle. Also, the atmosphere was shocking yesterday. I know it was a grim game but even at kick off it was silent. We can all see now we're likely to be in the bottom 4 so let's get behind em for the rest of the season.

There's not a whole lot more I can add to be honest. Very poor and disappointing performance, has to be our worst for a good while. There's still a long way to go of course, but it doesn't bode well at all. Hopefully the return of Brown will help things a bit.

However our ATTACK needs addressing quickly - we are so PREDICTABLE yet when the ball is worked you can see that spaces will be developed - hence the Sio tries. Watto has a lot on his plate.

Just watched the replay of the match. Connor Jones missed two easy tackles which produced tries. Lussick to start, Atkins sub. Tomkins back from Widnes??

Business ventures never guaranteed. Might even be worth starting with Burke at 9. Jones tackling on those two crucial occasions was dire.

How is Aspey going in the reserves? Alternatively, might be worth starting Lussick and bringing on Atkin late on to run at tired legs. He’ll probably stick with the same though.

Watson seems to rate Jones so you can probably bet he doesn't make wholesale changes.

Watson seems to rate Jones so you can probably bet he doesn't make wholesale changes. You can't have a turnstile defender in the middle though or he'll get targeted week in week out. The problem he has as Salford is that he's come into a struggling team that can't afford to break him in gently. We need a reliable rake to compliment Lussick who is struggling for me. I wasn't his biggest fan but think we miss Tomkins more than we realise.

Bit harsh on the lad. He's only young and it's a hell of a step up. Personally I would use him for 20 mins a slowly bring him on. There's definitely a player there but he needs managing. What the hell do I know anyway, Watto has forgotten more about rugby in the last hour than I know full stop. Manage expectations and keep the faith
