I don’t think Watson knows what his best team is yet but he needs to hurry up, what is clearly missing is a general on the field, nothing is done with urgency, when we do get moving and busy we look good.

Looks like Watto has been taking lessons from Wayne Bennett.
One man boring rugby.
Nothing positive to take from that game or any of them so far these season tbh.
Sick of hearing it will take time to gel.
They have had pre season and 5 games and are getting worse.
A complete change of tactics needed or it’s going to be a very long season.

I'll give my full thoughts later but I saw Sarginson do something in the 2nd half that really does make me think there is a problem within the playing staff.
I couldn't see who but he manhandled a player after he'd missed a simple tackle that allowed a break, it wasn't the normal push from a senior player to a younger 1 to cover a gap in the line, can't explain why but there was obvious anxt in it.

It was awful. You can't expect Roberts and Pauli to do 80 minutes
Think we need to bring in oldroyd and have Lannon in 2nd row
Went with 15 or so to go.

Pretty woeful that today and the team spirit we had last season seems to have gone completely. No leadership on the pitch, poor one on one defence and a complete lack of creativity. Players who looked like world beaters last season have gone back to looking like Championship plodders and the tries we're conceding are nothing short of a disgrace. If teams are ripping us apart with scintillating rugby I can live with that but Wakey had to do virtually nothing to score today. Whoever sh*t his pants and practically moved out of the way for Tanginoa to score that last try needs bloody shooting!😠
We made yet another bang average away team look half decent and it's frustrating as hell. Sarginson was again head and shoulders above the rest for me but some of the players need to take a long hard look at themselves after that performance.
I knew we'd miss Jacko and Josh Jones for their match-winning abilities but I never imagined their desire, passion and ability to inspire others would be just as irreplaceable.
Gutted. That GF night seems a long and distant memory already.😩

Lolohea is trying to do everything himself - we need someone to direct the team (especially in our own half) so he can play his natural game. Lussick, Jones, Atkin and Brown are all failing to manage it. And I’d drop Sio before Williams - two walk in tries don’t make up for his complete lack of form and defensive lapses. Williams didn’t defend the Johnstone try well but ran the ball out with far more effort than Sio. |

I understand about driving the ball for 4 but why are Pauli and Flanagan the only forwards who try and pass?
And running onto the ball Sarginson Superb
And whilst we're at it, why does the D not push up all the time?

I repeat that I wasn’t there but last season we didn’t tend to go 8 nil up,we went 12 nil and that creates a different base, gives breathing space We out scored the opposition and,even when we were getting beat,we were still scoring loads of points. Pressure now is on Watto,not in respect of his job,but in his ability to inspire and be creative tactically. If we score more points,the defence will take care of itself,as it gives the D a breather |

Reet I'm home and I've let the dust settle a little.
Crap.
No shite.
In a couple of previous games this season we've had an official as our crutch but today we were just average.
LEGS - We appear to be allergic to taking an attacking players legs for some reason. This is resulting to pretty much constant losing the grapple, more than a few times today they got on the front foot because of this, get a player on their back and we slow the PTB down, they keep falling on their front and they get the upper hand.
Depth - Is it this seasons new trend to stand with no depth, we are shallower than my taste in ladies when I'm strutting my stuff on the dance floor. Pretty much every forward is getting the ball at a standstill and it just means they get monstered by bang average players, shout out to PP & Seb for being the only 1's who try and get the ball on the charge.
How on earth can our tackling have gone from being op notch to Eccles Sunday league in an off season? Are we missing Gleeson that much? There were occasions today when I could see gaps from the stands but the players just stood there.
Can't see the love for the badge from Joey this season, he looks lacklustre and was just about the 1st of the pitch after the final whistle. Personally I'd be looking to bring back Tomkins and getting rid of either Atkins or Jones out of the 17.
Kicking, don't get when it's a howling day in a stadium that is effected so much by the wind we don't use a left and right footed kicker, we had both on the pitch today but didn't use then, pure insanity asking to get a kick over from so far out wide when the wind is against you.
A positive was PP, seems to have in him to take the ball on the charge, him and Seb both.
