On another forum (general …), there is a thread about the amount of publicity Rugby league has had this year: Prince harry, Folau (!), SBW etc.
Our local paper has last year's Grand Final finalist on its doorstep. A GB (assistant) coach. A ground visible to thousands every day as they commute past it. A column by one of that team's forwards on a Thursday. So hats off to the MEN today for …
a column on RD1: the bus that gets fans to the ground. WOW.
The start of the season? The game v Saints? The club? nowt.
Cheers MEN.

Cheers MEN. I negotiated the RD1 contract and it took a great deal of my personal time to do so. If you want to help out join the Supporters Trust Board and make a difference

salford1963: I'm not knocking you or RD1: but Friday at the start of a season with last year's Grand Finalists playing each other, I could/would have expected at least a couple of paragraphs. It's free in Manchester so would have made an impact as more read it than other days. I salute your efforts. But outside the United and City bubble, the MEN represents very little in sport. It is losing its regional status.

If only some brilliant forum dweller had been championing this for years and indeed mentioned it to the club only to be told it wouldn't work.
Well done though much needed.

I know I've asked before but does anyone know if the club are paying for the Emedia adds next to the M602 roundabout at the end of Regent Road?
I've noticed that since the start of the season it's been promoting specific games rather than just season tickets.
Good bit of business.

Yes a couple were Tweeting about it this week that the comms dept had done good work with it (although not the official account).
