Not too sure what people mean being light in the halves? I mean we we're never gonna recruit anyone as good as Hastings but apart from that the back up halves of Atkin is the best we've had for quite sometime Compared with the season with Jack Littlejohn and Jake Shorrock we’re rich indeed

1. Niall Evalds 2. Ed Chamberlain 3. Kris Welham 4. Dan Sarginson 5. Krisnan Inu 6. Tui Lolohea 7. Kevin Brown 8. Lee Mossop 9. Joey Lussick 10. Gil Dudson 11. Ryan Lannon 12. Pauli Pauli 13. Tyrone McCarthy 14. Sebastine Ikahihifo 15. Adam Walker 16. Greg Burke 17. Luke Yates 18. Chris Atkin 19. Mark Flanagan 20. Josh Johnson 21. James Greenwood 22. Rhys Williams 23. Ken Sio 24. Elliot Kear 25. Connor Jones 26. Jack Ormondroyd Now we can have a go at the 17 for Saints That is the most all rounded, with quality back up squads I have ever seen at Salford.

Can't see how we can drop Inu from the starting 13, made some howlers early in the season but his kicking towards the end was vital, do worry his lack of pace will become more and more obvious next season so wonder if he might be benched and used as a potential make shift back row and across the back line.
Having Chamberlain back will be like a new signing and I'm sure I've read he has bulked up so he can play in the centres.
Classic MR always wanting to change a player's natural position.

Classic MR always wanting to change a player's natural position. It's called versatility dear boy, something coach Watson seems to be a fan of.

There's versatility then there's stupidity. He got to the grand final for us playing on the wing.

If we start playing wingers in the pack then something has gone horribly wrong. We're not really in the era for changing players positions, with the exception of halfbacks and fullbacks. You may see wingers drop to fullback, but only ever in a temporary role. You simply don't and wont, see wingers becoming forwards any time soon, even if they are used to take pressure off the forwards.

I think people misunderstand what I'm saying, I'm not for 1 minute saying he would be ideal or a permanent back rower but if push came to shove he could do it (as Junior could have before he left).
Josh Jones on a number of occasions moved from the back row into the centres when needed, if injuries dictate moves like this are always going to be required if the right people aren't on the bench.

Would it not be an idea to just move him back to centre (where he’s played before for us) if needed before putting him in the second row? Just a thought.

I think pretty much nailed on are 1 Evalds 2 Sio 3 Welham 4 Sarge 5 Inu 6 Tui 7 Brown 8 Moose 9 Lussick 10 Dudson 14 Ikahihifo 15 Walker 16 Pauli I think I might have changed my mind on some of these after the friendlies. Williams may have done enough to get a starting spot ahead of Inu. And I think walker has been less impressive at prop than Burke and Johnson so I wonder if he will make the bench. Atkin and Jones have been ok but not special so I wonder if Lussick might be used for the full 80? Will Moose be fit to start the season? Evalds, Sio, Sarge, Welham, Tui, Brown, Lussick, Dudson have all impressed and I’m sure will be starters. Ikahihifo Pauli on the bench The back row is still hard. Lannon, Greenwood, Yates, Burke, Tyke all been impressive

Greenwood to start in the backrow for me if Lannon isn't back. Tyke starting at 13 so it's between Yates and Flash for me for that bench spot.
