Think this is a decent idea. Rewards teams that take a chance.

Might also reward teams that are forced to take a chance because they’ve been pegged back in their own 20. I don’t see the need for it really.

Good rule but we now have 3 sets European, Auss and International So why doesn't an overarching body set the rules for RL. Or is that too sensible?

Far too sensible to have one set of rules that everyone agrees to and plays to when we can have three divergent rule sets that the refs from each hemisphere get confused about if they have to ref an international game

Good rule but we now have 3 sets European, Auss and International So why doesn't an overarching body set the rules for RL. Or is that too sensible? We’ve had more than 3 sets for a number of years. Not sure we’ve ever had one set of rules across the world since at least the start of super league. There are some differences between super league and the lower divisions in Europe for a few years too. 20-40 feels a bit gimmicky to me and rewards kicking rather than passing the ball/running. No prob in the 9s format for things like this to be tried but not sure about at NRL level. As someone has said on Twitter, what happens if you kick a 20-20? Does it count as a 40-20 or a 20-40?

Utterly ridiculous ideas, I'm not a fan of the 40/20 but it's here already.
Sorting out the fascicle scrums and blatant time wasting should be the priority not more gimmicks.
