Didn’t help Graham going off in the first couple of minutes, however for the first 20 we looked ok then we got knackered and lost the plot. GB had no power, passion , enthusiasm or aggression, Hodgson spent most of the game moaning to the ref, Conner, Widdup and a few others well below par.

Bennett just can't stay on as GB/England coach, Powel of Wane have got to be better options.

I don’t understand the clamour for Wane. Most people hated the rugby Wigan played when he was there. Including a lot of Wigan fans.
At least Cas play very watchable rugby under Powell. Still not convinced he’d be a good choice though.
It’s a big difference managing a national team with limited contact and few games compared to a club. There are currently 4 matches scheduled for England between now and the World Cup I believe. So not much time for a new coach to do much.
England have been better under Bennett than any other time I’ve been watching them. The main problem with Bennett this tour has been him choosing so many half backs so he can decide on his preferred options for England in the Ashes and the World Cup. He’s used the tour as trial games for that. That has been disastrous from a GB fan point of view but might be good from an England coach angle.
The whole tour was misconceived. Scotland and Ireland were playing WC qualifiers so couldn’t even be chosen for GB, the England coach in charge and nobody from the RFL seemingly bothered about him using itt tv as England warm up games. Bennett is an obvious scape goat
Should be a tour every 4 years, year after the World Cup so there’s no qualifier clashes.

Having said that, I do think Wane would have been a better choice as the coach for this GB tour. I think he would have cared more about what the sport needed from GB than Bennett did. Would have been a team full of Wigan biffers though

Was at a Union game this afternoon where Jimmy Lowes was the Ealing trailfinders offence coach so we do have people available .A Lions Jersey is the pinicle for me not an after thought for something in the future its disrespect to all who have worn it with pride in the past. What Bennett is not responsible for is the lack of depth in the game over here. But I would say thanks very much that's it,and get a British coach.Just my opinion.

Pretty poor wasn’t it. The fact that the main issue with getting rid of the coach is the lack of games between now and the world cup in two years sums up the state of international rugby league and why we are so far behind the souther hemisphere teams.
Take that out of the equation though and Bennett shouldn’t be getting offered a new deal. The squad selection was terrible with players picked on reputation not form and regardless of position. Team selections were just as bad with square pegs in round holes and no changes made when things were not going well. The tactics were also terrible with one man rugby, shocking kicking and no creativity whatsoever. Finally motivation seemed nonexistent. Not sure how it could have been any worse.
So many square pegs in round holes and I’m talking tactically as well. With so few opportunities to work with the team it just isn’t working trying to get players to play specific roles that don’t come naturally to them. The likes of Hastings, Whitehead and Hodgson have been brilliant for club but shocking for GB. Either let them play their own game or play someone else.
If only there was a young English coach who was adept at moulding the team and tactics around an ever changing pool of different players eh!

The person who wrote that is not a genius. But he is 100% right.I didn't know Peacock was on the gravy train with Sinfield.Peacock couldn't run an egg and spoon race.
