Has signed on loan for one season. Squad looking really good now. Just need everyone to gel again. Decent signing this. He hasn't been amazing in the past couple of seasons but he's the type of player who can rejuvenate his career under Watson. |

According to my reaconing we have 4 players who can play fullback 4 who can play on the wing 4 who can play cente 7 who can play in he halves 7 who can play prop 2 hookers 7 back rowers And some props and backrowers can interchange between the two All in all a quite useful versatile squad |

And Burke and McCarthy have both played there when needed. 7 half backs - brown, Tui, Atkin, Lussick, Jones, flash, Evalds? Problem is even with thus flexibility we still only have a squad of 26 so doesn’t take too many injuries to be down to the bare bones. Half back and hooker feel the areas we gave least cover |

Half back and hooker feel the areas we gave least cover We are not a Wigan or Saints etc who due to their crowds can have a big squad. That’s why it’s essential people give something to the squad builder initiative so some more bodies can be brought in. An academy will take a few years to produce players so at the moment a small squad is all that can be afforded. FWIW I know we will miss JH JB JJ and our other departures but I like the look of the squad that’s been built. I don’t expect a GF again but top eight is easily achievable and safety. |

I know Prestwich Red. I wasn’t complaining. Just saying it’s still a risk. It’s about a good a squad we could possibly afford. And I agree it is a sounder and stronger squad overall just without the Jacko magic

If I'm honest I dont think he's ever been on my radar ie. pretty much never heard of him. But if Ian Watson thinks he's right for us I'm happy. Because the only contract we need signing this year is his.
