Nigel Wood and his family have taken a major shareholding in the Bulls and is involved with the latest rescue also the chairman of Dewsbury is taking a 29% share and the Batley chairman 9% and others, and it seems this his allowed.also it is costing the RFL 200.000 to mothball Ordsal for 12 month hoping they can return to the city, eyebrows were raised in some quarters. But Garry Hetherigton the Leeds CEO as defend this because their was little alternative he says.I just mentioned this because this morning listening to talk sport it was mentioned that Bill Kenright the Everton chairman wanted to give Bury football club 1 million of his own money in their hour of need, but was told he could not because of a conflict of interest. His football right or the RFL.

Didn't the RFL stop Mandy Koucash buying Bradford because the Doc owned Salford at the time?
Didn't know that Wood was that wealthy.

If Bradford Bulls are worth nothing then 29% of nothing is not very much. What is he actually buying as the Club will have few assets to buy? Shares surely are virtually worthless or is he paying off some of the debt? Didn't the present chairman relinquish the money owed to him presumably as directors loans?

It seems they will be on the board, they have installed some guy named Eric Perez as chairman it seems Toronto were his idea. Nigel Wood will be the majority owner, going forward. The story was covered in this mornings League Express.

I'm still staggered that Rugby league is having to budget £200 000 to maintain Odsall all season and it will not be used. £200 000: imagine if Salford was given £200 000.

Bradford Bulls is a timely reminder of how we could have ended up all those years ago. I somehow doubt that the RFL would have jumped to our rescue though...

The problem the RFL have with Odsall is that you can't punt it to demolish and build a load of houses, you'd need to fill it in and that would be hugely costly.
No they own a great big white hefferlump.

I always loved playing at Odsall. The history and place was always great. It would be a shame to see it go.

Swinton,Oldham,Workington all struggling but no help from the RFL. Bradford a bent club that cheated its way to titles and has gone into administration at least 3 times is helped out 😳 The RFL are a disgrace. As for Odsall I never understood why people liked it. A delapidated dump of a ground with a pitch continually waterlogged and turned up corners at one end. Let’s not mention the fans.

It's in W Yorkshire near Leeds, Workington too far north The RL is determined to get Superleague back to Odsal no matter what it costs. With what's happening at the moment and who's involved Woods and the crew there's a plan, be sure of that. And there'll be yet another Yorkshire team into SL to go along with Wakefield, Castleford Hull kr ( who's new grounds will be there this year, yet again) Leigh Widnes and all the rest including us are just cannon fodder. The more it goes on the more you see why MK had his continual rants, not always at the best times but understandable. RL has been and always will be bent.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if a couple of the struggling West Yorkshire teams merged and miraculously end up in SL playing out of Odsall
