Great to see the list of Heritage numbers. Who is the lowest number that anyone has seen playing? Mine is Les Bettinson, number 549.

Loving the heritage numbers. So glad we’ve got them now.
I think the lowest number I saw live was 749 David Major but in terms of seeing them around the time of their debut then more like 846/847 Ian Gormley/Peter Williams as I started watching towards the end of the 1987/88 season.
Technically it may have been Bryan McCarthy or Tom Nadiole if either of them played in the challenge cup semi final (my first game - glory hunting band wagon jumper that I am) but I don’t remember either of them so I’m claiming Williams or Gormley

666, Mike Coulman (though in the mid to late 1970s, not on his debut in 1968 as I would have still been a babe in arms)

Dia Moses 437 Asa matter of interest Alan Wharton 463 also played cricket for Lancashire and Englnd. It was believed, at the time, that he was not selected forthe Englad cricket team, numerous times whilst at the height of his career due to one of the selectors being an ex Welsh rugby union big wig

Mine is Dai Moses too.
Years ago I was in the Willows Variety Centre having a pint with my dad when I saw Dai come in for a drink. I said to my dad, "There's Dai Moses. He was the dirtiest b****r I ever saw on a rugby field!" My dad laughed and when Dai had got his pint he walked towards our table. I did not know my dad knew him, but Dai stopped for a chat. My dad then introduced me to Dai, and told me to tell him what I had just said. I was surprised and checked that he really meant it. He assured me he did, so I repeated it to Dai word for word. Dai roared with laughter, slapped me on the back and insisted he bought me a pint! I think he was quite flattered.

Dia was our groundsman for quite a few years. His brother Glynn played for Saints even he wasn't safe.
