I’ve posted on rumours and A Team threads a bit s as bout last night. A few other bits:
Paul King also said there will be a new Squad Builder launched on Nov 1st. I think aimed at first team again. But Paul said all club income will help so urged people to give/buy what they can
They got £200k prize money for reaching grand final. Nothing specifically for ticket sales, that goes to SL who then redistribute in prize money
Season ticket sales are healthy - within 100 of the total sold for 2018 already. Not sure yet if this is the usuals buying quicker or some of the new people from GF run. Some data issues due to GDPR preventing proper analysis yet but apparently the Council are sorting that. Going to keep pushing the sales. Want to get over 2000 sold
Home attendances were up 24% this year which is great but has to be balanced by fewer away fans coming this year - saints, wigan, Leeds in particular travelled in smaller numbers I think he said
Club in a much healthier position than this time last year but by no means stable. Still lots of historic debt to be paid off
Got all kit sponsorship sold for first time ever - main shirt, sleeve, collar, shorts (3 I think) and socks. A lot of this is down to now having a proper back office team including finance and commercial managers. But more is due to exposure of getting to grand final. Can’t afford to lose all the momentum by being in the relegation fight again next year. Another play off spot is really important
Some Player sponsorships will also still be available
Merchandise relaunch in mid-November
All ex-players now entirely to a free season ticket if they want one - trying to build a better culture and link with ex-players. The ambassador initiative is part of that
Ian Watson has one year left on his contract. The clubs top priority is keeping him and getting him on a new long term contract
